Hello hello! I’m Pavan (pronounced PAW-vin) my pronouns are she/her and I’m a Registered Psychologist with a Masters in Counselling. I have been in this field for a number of years and have supported folks from all walks of life experiencing a variety of presenting concerns.
My approach is empathetic, collaborative, playful and empowering. You can expect me to welcome you with warmth, compassion and curiosity. I like using metaphors to help make sense of things and will add a dash of humour for some levity when appropriate. I see my role as a guiding support, offering different directions and tools based on what you may need.
Whether you’re needing to cry, laugh, be challenged, play, sit in silence or be heard, I will work towards creating a space that feels the most comfortable for you. You have the ability to create positive change and I can offer insights on ways to enhance the strengths you already have and adjust things that may be holding you back.
I would be honoured to support you if you feel like we’d be a good fit!

I have experience and enjoy working with children, youth and adults. I have a special interest in working with trauma, as well as offering support in navigating cultural and identity struggles.
Sometimes working on one concern can uncover other concerns that may have been hiding away. I am open and flexible to addressing concerns as they arise by following your lead on what would feel the most helpful to focus on.

I predominately use Narrative therapy, which works to understand the experiences that have shaped the person you are now. Working together, we strive towards rewriting the narratives that no longer serve you and strengthening the ones that are more in line with where you want to be. I also weave in elements of other modalities that I have experience in, including Internal Family Systems, sand tray, and play therapy as needed.
As everyone is unique, I do my best to provide tailored support to each client I work with. I will check in to see how things are landing with you to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your counselling experience. I strive to create a non-judgemental environment that feels comfortable for us to collaboratively work through stuck points at a pace that feels best for you.

Individual sessions are 50 minutes or 80 minutes in length.
My rate is $220/hour. I have a number of sliding scale spots available determined on a case-to-case basis. Please inquire if this is something you are needing.
I accept major credit cards and e-transfer as forms of payment. I am able to direct bill most insurance plans including Alberta Blue Cross, Telus and Greenshield. If your plan does not allow for direct billing, you will be given a receipt for you to submit on your own. Please check your plan for specifics.
I also offer a free 15-minute phone/virtual consultation for potential clients to get a sense of what they’re looking for and ask any questions to determine if we’d be a good therapeutic fit prior to beginning services.
